21.8 includes continued improvements to Cellular Clarity to provide insights into why signal strength may have changed and a new Beta feature, flexible switch.
Cellular Clarity - additional information and CSV download option
Because changes in cell tower ID, network or radio technology can result in changes to signal strength, we've added blips on the chart to show additional information:
Tower
See changes in the cell tower ID
Network
See changes in the network name - for example Vodafone to O2
Radio Tech
See changes in the radio technology - for example LTE to Wcdma
Hover on a data point or blip to see timestamp and actual values or a count of changes:
For day view only, you can download the information to a CSV file:
New zoom options
This version includes two different zoom functions:
Drag
Drag across the chart to zoom in, use to revert to the full time period (see GIF above)
Click
From the week or month view, click a tower, network or radio blip to jump to the day view (see GIF below)
Enable LAN switch monitoring to get a fast, detailed picture of traffic levels, health issues, and outages on every port, all presented in a simple clear format. Designate specific ports as 'critical' (for example, server connections) and Highlight will alert if these ports have problems.
Highlight already supports a range of switch vendors automatically. Refer to our list of supported, recognised switch manufacturers. It may now be possible to add switches from other manufacturers (or any device with 2 or more network interfaces) using our new flexible switch feature.
Note: Testing has shown that not all devices correctly implement the SNMP standard or provide very limited information. Flexible switch may not work on such devices.
